JOB DESCRIPTION:

I'm looking to hire a short-term assistant to begin work (at rather short notice) in the remainder of July and continue until the end of September. The hours involved will be part-time / miscellaneous and will allow for some niche task training. There's potential for the successful applicant to continue working on my team in the longer term, on a per-project basis. In that sense it would suit a recent third level graduate looking to gain experience in the music production / Film & TV scoring industry in Ireland and beyond.

This is an entry-level position, paid per hour/per task. No formal musical qualifications are necessary, but the aural and music notation skills required will likely only have been learnt over the course of formal music training (long-term instrumental or third level). It is not a writing position.Fluency in any notation software (Sibelius / Finale / Dorico etc) and any DAW (Logic / Cubase / Digital Performer etc) is essential. Protools possession and basic fluency would be a bonus but not essential.

All work will be carried out remotely, although participants may be required (Covid circumstances allowing) to attend recording sessions in Dublin, and if required, will be paid to do so.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to sit a 2-3 hour multi-task trial relevant to the above skills and perform a few additional tests. Shortlisted applicants' time will be paid regardless of the outcome.
